Bags Taken to a New Level

I would like to introduce to you a new line of bags that will make carrying shoes you would like to change into for an after work event or if you just need to carry a change of shoes, a LOT easier. Keep reading for more details about this new amazing bag. 😉

The solSak line originated when designer, georgina agyekum relocated from Los Angeles, California a very car-dependent city to the District of Columbia, a metropolitan area more reliant on public transportation and walking. The daily Metro commute to work (by way of Gallery Place– Chinatown) demanded the comfort of flats, while meetings and evening activities called for a more professional pump. She quickly discovered that this was not only a personal dilemma, but a challenge present among active female commuters alike.

It soon became very apparent that metropolitan women everywhere, particularly in cities such as: DC, NY, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco spend a considerable amount of time on foot catching subways, walking to and from parking lots, jumping in and out of cabs; running through concourses, and dashing from meetings to events. In an effort to “save the feet”, without recourse, women were stashing flats in a separate bag or strategically smushing them into a trusty purse; thereby disfiguring the shoe and/or introducing city grime onto wallets, makeup cases and other important handbag items— yuck!

In fall of 2011, necessity bore the concept of the solSak line featuring classic handbags customized with a shoe- pocket appropriate for pumps or flats.  Launched this week, (summer of 2012), the company’s mission is to offer women everywhere an inconspicuous pocket of convenience, oneDesign at a time!
