On Day 3 of being in NY, one of my good friends from A&T Jarrod Young had a performance that night at XL Nightclub. This was actually a fashion show with some designers but most sucked to be honest. The only designer that stood out to me was Viva LaCoCo. Their were dresses with sequins, sheer panels, studs, and leather. I loved it!

The only thing I question is will they be able to do OUR hair because the pictures online make me think not, but I might give it a try.
Day 3 of New York Fashion Week was the day we decided we were going to order breakfast to be delivered and it took FOREVER!!! I was rushing to get ready to head out to the city to visit the office of Style Says and was running super behind. The Co-Founder was super nice and I didn’t end up having to rush but I sure did eat my food and run at the same time. New York will surely teach you how to do that, LOL! I arrive at the office and it is filled with computers and a few engineers working on various things for the site. I got to chat it up with the Co-Founder which was pretty cool and then I was able to do a test run with the website. I think this site will be cool once it officially launches and will allow you to link pieces your are wearing to the actual site you purchased them from.
After this, we decided to hit the Lincoln Center for some shots before my friend Mika had to head back to DC. I got a few shots and few people took pictures of me. I hope to hear from them at some point so I can see the blog posts. This reminds me, I need to find those business cards I got from people because I can not find them for some reason! AHHH! Well anyway enjoy these last few Lincoln Center shots I got.
Day 2 of New York Fashion Week was quite interesting because things just got all mixed up. I started out at the Duane Street Hotel which is where the Bloggers Night Out event was for bloggers to go and get wifi to put up posts, view shows, and network. I ended up meeting the Co-Founder of Style Says which is an upcoming site that allows you to post your outfits as well as where someone can purchase some of your pieces you are wearing. He was super cool and I was so curious about the site, I was invited to test it out the next day.

Dressed launched their Septemeber Issue with Stevie Boi making the cover of the issue. The event was held at Harlem Haberdashery which is a really chic store. They have various designers work sold throughout the store. The store set up has old fashion photographs, wood tables, and dark blue walls. It’s a super cute boutique and you should definitely check it out!
I made my way to New York City on Sunday to escape to one of the most amazing events, New York Fashion Week and to catch up with as many friends as possible since I don’t get to escape to New York often. I started my Sunday off with brunch at Macondo which was once one of my favorite places but a lot has changed over a year or two there. The unlimited mimosas went from $7 to $11 and the food was just different. I enjoyed the company of my friends but when places change, I am totally turned off by it. My friends were amazing to catch up with and of course we had some photo opts, it’s only right! LOL!
