This was a very tough decision because all of you ladies had great names but for some reason these names stood out the most to me.
The winner is Miranda M from Pretty Squared Blog!!!!
The names from left to right are Gold Love, Taupe-tastic, Blue Velvet, and Chocolate.
Since Spring is supposed to start on Wednesday, I’ll believe it when I see it, I wanted to do a contest. This contest will deal with the change of season. Every season you want a new color of shoes, hair color, jacket, and more.
I wanted to help one of you out with one of those changes and with that being said I am giving away four Essie nail polishes. These nail polishes come in gold and hues of purple, my favorite color by the way. So believe me it was hard to give away but sharing is caring, right?!
The way I will run this contest is I want you all to get creative and name these four nail polishes with names of your choice. Be as creative as you like and as crazy as you like with the names. The only thing I ask is no repeat names if possible.
I also require that you are FOLLOWING this blog. With your comments leave your name and email address.
If you are not apart of WordPress you can follow using your email.
Good Luck and GET CREATIVE!!! =)
P.S. This contest will end on Friday, March 22nd at 11:59pm est and the winner will be announced on Tuesday, March 26th.
I got to attend the Defining Your Womanly Curve event honoring influential woman in Washington, DC. They honored such notables as Sunni from WPGC and Jennifer of Comme Coco. The event honored a few other women from other categories such as health & fitness, communications, and lifestyle.
The event was held at Indulj which has hands down some of the best wings I’ve had! They had massages done by a soon to be massage therapist and complimentary make up service provided by Plush Beautiq.
The event was short and sweet and it was great running into familiar faces.
Take a look at some flicks from the event.
I dedicate this post to the fellas. There is a play on styles and shapes from the Sixties to the Eighties with the eyewear shades for the upcoming season. I am loving it! Shades have been some of my favorite accessories that I am looking forward to seeing more of this Spring and Summer. So fellas don’t forget the shades to complete the look.
Check out these that WWD found to be some of the standouts.
I had a great 27th birthday and couldn’t bring it in alone. Enjoy the pictures!!!
If you all don’t already know the trend for lower end department stores, the collaborating is serious business. It gets designers to shine that others might not be aware of or even be able to afford. It also gives business to stores that might need a boost. I think it pure BRILLIANCE!
The designer that collaborated with JCP is Duro Olowu who was apparently a lawyer before launching his design career in 2004. I think it’s amazing in life that you could be on one track and then have an epiphany and go an entirely new route. That is what life is about. He is a Nigerian native now based in London, I LOVE LONDON (still on my bucket list).
His designs are so my style. I love mixing prints. I have to wear black A LOT so when I can wear colors…I wear COLORS! lol!
Here are some of my favorite pieces::
