GlamourHolics founder Myss Stephens hosted a VIP Media Insider Launch for Curbside Fashion Truck at Panache Restaurant. I was lucky enough to be invited as media to have an exclusive look at the first fashion and beauty truck based in DC. I was able to partake in complimetary cocktails by Skinny Girl and Pucker Vodka, light bites, sweet treats by Oh My Sweetness, and the Sassy Eyebrow Bar offering eyebrow extension and waxing! If you all don’t already know, Restaurant Week has begun in DC!!! WOOP!! Have you all made your reservations yet? If not, GET ON IT!!! It goes until Sunday and you must reserve. On OpenTable, you can actually get points for some of the places you go.
I made a reservation for this particular spot a little bit before Restaurant Week was fully announced because it is super hard to reserve after a certain point. The food is just that great. I did a reservation at Rasika which is modern Indian cuisine. This place has gotten endless great reviews which is what I’m always looking to get a taste of. Continue reading
I had the pleasure of attending Blogger Scene’s Summer Cocktail party which was hosted by DC area bloggers The Fashionably Broke and Ashley In DC. The event took place at one of my favorite spots, Lost Society. I like how this place is somewhat secret unless you look up…haha! It is just super secluded and you can see the city and just take it all in. Continue reading
I definitely have a passion for volunteering when I can. I think that blogging is amazing but even more amazing when you can contribute to those younger than you to give them some inspiration.
I was asked by the lovely ladies of Red Sprinkle to come and speak at the summer program at Ron Brown Elementary School. They were lucky enough to be able to teach a group of teenage girls about the blogging and fashion world. They had days of learning about make up, styling, blogging, and photography.
I had a great time teaching them about blogging, modeling, and photography. They were at first hesitant about getting dolled up and taking pictures but they all ended up getting involved and it was a great experience.
I enjoyed taking time out to teach them about my blogging world and my modeling past. I think all of us should take time to talk to our youth because I wish I had a lot of older people take time out to volunteer and talk to me about things they were involved in to inspire me when I was in high school. I been on. I think that this wave is amazing. It is time to let your real hair shine is what I think is happening. We are giving guys and even women a false look into how we actually look or should actually look.
If you can rock a short haircut, it’s no stopping you. A lot of celebrities have taken the leap. Some of these celebrities are Beyonce of recently, Rihanna of recently, and Miley’s hair has just been to die for. I just did a random tweet yesterday about hair and teeth which was totally inappropriate but was called for. I hear the price of weave and it makes me cringe sometimes. Why add and not just make what you have look fabulous.
Take a look at Beyonce’s new leap! I think it looks great and no I’m not a Beyonce stan but I call out what I like.

I made my way to the new H&M in Friendship Heights last Thursday and got in line at 9:30am. Early, right? The only reason I went early was in hope of a $50 or more gift card. They gave gift cards out to the first 100 people in line. They also gave out these duffel bags with goodies inside.
H&M has been causing quite a stir in the District. Their is one being built in Union Station which is quite bizarre if you ask me but pure genius. Then the H&M in Friendship Heights opens today at noon. Hopefully as you all are reading this, I am in line to hopefully get a gift card. I will document my experience and what I find. =)
Hope some of you all are able to make it tomorrow or if not, definitely go and check it out. It is 3 floors in the newly modeled Chevy Chase Pavilion. It was time for a change in that place.
Happy Shopping Everyone!
