There is a new restaurant in the Georgetown neighborhood and I was lucky enough to get an invite. I made a reservation for 9pm and got there not knowing what exactly I was getting myself into. I went with a friend of mine. I was able to try as many dishes as I wanted on the menu. I know Italian but apparently not as great as I thought I did.
As we all know Autumn officially starts Sunday. I am actually super excited because this is a beautiful season. It’s a season where you can catch a nice breeze but still have a nice sunny day. I love it! It’s also a time to bring those pieces we couldn’t wear this summer that we have been waiting to bring out.
Fall is a time to layer up and wear darker colors. What better time to get new nail polishes?! I am giving away 3 Essie colors and my favorite matte top coat, ‘Matte About You’. These are apart of my great giveaway where you can express your creative fashion side. I want you all to create a look on my favorite styling site Polyvore! YAY! The outfits should be something that are inspirational from the colors and represent Fall.

Hey Guys and Gals,
If you all don’t know already, I work in the skincare industry and am always open to try various products in the market. There are some of us that shave, wax, or just don’t have a clue of how to get rid of those hairs that we wish didn’t exist in areas we would rather not talk about. LOL!
Well I am here to give a beauty secret and that is that I use a product that you use in the shower called Sally Hansen Brush-On-in-Shower. It is an odorless, painless hair remover that you leave on for about 3 minutess but can be lft on for no longer than 10 minutes which is usually the amount of time I leave it on (shhhh…keep it a secret…lol).
I got this product years ago and I fell in love with it the first time I used it. You have to leave this product on for 1 minute before getting in the shower on dry skin. The only tricky thing is that you have to get in the shower backwards because wherever the product is, it can’t get wet. You are supposed to rinse it off and not wipe but wiping I feel is more affective but be gentle.
The hair removal might last a week so waxing is probably the best option. But for something last minute like going to the beach, it’s perfect. I highly recommend it. I got mine from Ulta for about $8. Ulta sends me coupons all the time so you can probably get it cheaper. It is a must have for my essentials that I can’t live without.
I did yet another getaway but to Jersey Shore this go round and I was about 30 minutes from Atlantic City. It was a super interesting experience because it was almost like another land. Their weren’t any black people there so we were looked at like aliens on occasion which was so weird. It wasn’t even diverse. I know there are places where only one race live but I’m so used to diversity, it was a shocker.
Here are more pictures from WWD that caught my eye. I think the fashion gets better and better everyday at the shows.

I unlike half of America had to work this weekend but I definitely made the most of it. I hung out and partied across town. I met up with friends and it was grand. I am now beat!!!! Lol! I can’t even tell you all how tired I am writing this post but sleep can wait sometimes right?
So this weekend was a lot of new and freshness. I luckily found out that there is a woman that does $10 henna tattoos at the Georgetown Market and I hoped on the opportunity. The woman that does the designs is super talented and she uses the real deal and even tells you how to care for the henna tattoo. If you’ve never done it before she is a great teacher of how to make it last. Continue reading
