Alice in Wonderland in 3-D

Mi padre took me and fam out to see Alice in Wonderland 3-D. This was a really good movie, like I was shocked at how good it was. In 3-D, it is pretty cool but either way, it is very enjoyable. The costumes for the characters especially Alice when she gets big to small in the “drink me”, “eat me” part. I was just in awe at the fashion. I mean everything they had Alice in was hands down amazing. I really also liked the evil queen’s dress with the hearts on it. That gets two thumbs up.

The movie follows very closely with the old version but it has a little twist because she is now older and at the age of 19, we all view the world very differently from the age 6 (the age I think was the last time she went to “wonderland”). I thought the movie was all in all a good movie despite two random parts I won’t spill…LOL…go see the movie. =)

Shutter Island Review

I had to give this movie a review since I actually got to see it, obviously the movies is not somewhere I go too too often. I was taken to see this movie as a birthday gift (much appreciated!).

I thought this movie was well done because it was a mystery the whole movie. You didn’t know if this movie was about a ghost haunting on the island or if you were the one that was going crazy, LOL! This movie definitely had me on edge the whole time. You couldn’t figure out what was real or what was fake. It had you guessing and probably guessing wrong most of the movie. Oh yeah and Roger Ebert is still alive…LOL….but I think he might have enjoyed this movie despite the mixed reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed it. =)

The Sepetember Issue made its debut on DVD on February 23rd. I have already asked for this as a B-Day gift. YAY! If you didn’t see this movie, I would suggest seeing it, especially all of my fashion people. *wink*

CoCo Chanel Movie

This movie is set to come out September 25th. I am definitely adding this to the list of movies to see.

I watched a documentary about CoCo Chanel that was in black and white for a paper I had to write in college and she was quite an interesting person.

Audrey Tautou is starring as CoCo Chanel in the movie.

Where The Wild Things Are

Ok so growing up as a kid I very vaguely remember this book, but I do think I read it or at least looked at the pictures. I guess you can say I am still a kid at heart, it doesn’t take much to give me a thrill…LOL. I hope to see this movie when it comes out October 16th.

I read some background info on the guy that put the movie together and he put a lot of work into it…so I am definitely putting this on my list of movies to see. =)

The September Issue

As I saw on Fearless Passion and from my mom always sometimes keeping me in the know:

Their is a documentary coming out on Friday called “The September Issue” and I DESPERATELY want to see it. I might go see this one by myself if all else fails, but I think I should be able to find a fellow fashionista to see it with.

This movie goes deep into how the behind the scenes of the Vogue editor Anna Wintour as she steers the production of the mag’s biggest issue of the year.

Do I need to go grab a September Issue of Vogue?! Probably! LOL

I will definitely write a review once I see this movie, I am STOKED! =)

Ok so after seeing the documentary, I feel like NY is even more amazing. I thought this was well put together and it showed the real people they were. It talked about their family and career background and how they got to where they are. There were some funny moments, some dag that was mean moments, and just things to really look at and take heed of if you are thinking about being in the fashion world. YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP TOUGH SKIN! #1 piece of advice.
