You all probably saw the group Trunk Club DC post of when I went to see Tippi at Trunk Club. I had the chance to create a trunk with Tippi. I started out with creating a profile of what my style is and what brands I tend to shop. They also ask your shoe size, clothing size, and pant size. It’s very detailed so the stylist can be sure to choose the items closest to your size. Tippi then took this information and picked various pieces for me including shoes. I was very pleased with what she chose me. Some were some pieces I might’ve never gone for on my own.
I took my trunk to meet Tippi at the trunk club. The cool thing about this is that you have the option to try everything ok at home and keep what you would like to pu chase and send back hate de didn’t quite work out. Going in is cool because your greeted and asked what you would like to drink during your styling session. Very comfortable environment. Continue reading →
Find the beast behind the button-down. On Wednesday, April 20th (tee-hee!) we’re gettin’ down, Downtown!
We’re doing an experiment. Bring your boo, bae, or bestie for just $18 and swap the date night with the sunrise. Claire Salvo is on the decks, Les Greene is on the mic, and the magic is on the dance floor.
…Let me see ya grill. The only issue with this picture is that I never recieved my Grillz. I decided to take it to the Internet early February for Grillz. I found what I thought at the time was a credible site. I call the phone number on the website and a gentlemen answers. We set up a time and place to meet at one of his 3 or 4 offices. DC was most convenient for me. I get to the office on time and here he comes maybe 20 minutes later. I had a gut feeling to just call it a quits but I wanted these Grillz for my birthday party. If you all haven’t seen, I’m a huge fan of Daybreaker. I love how they came up with a concept to do yoga and then party afterwards all before 9am. So be sure to get some rest the night before. The yoga is some of the best yoga I’ve ever done and you feel amazing afterwards. They have tons of snacks and healthy drinks to keep your energy up and you feeling food. The dancing is my favorite part, of course. The DJ spins high energy music, live musicians, and the MC Haile Supreme keeps everyone active. I have included deets below about how you can participate in something like you’ve never done before.
// Wednesday, March 23rd
// Pre-Dance Yoga: 6 – 7 am / Dance Party: 7 – 9 am
// Malmaison — 3401 Water St NW
// DJ Claire Salvo + MC Haile Supreme
// Free coffee, juice, & breakfast treats
// GET TIX — Drop down & get your color on Spring has sprung. Let’s wake up and dance.
Shed your layers and leave the chill in winter, because spring is upon us and we’re blooming to life in full color. Come kick-start the season by waking up to the highest vibes and amazing people.
When friends are in town, what do we do? We go out to eat and drink as much as we can while catching up about life. We had a place in mind to do happy hour but the happy hour wasn’t right and the vibes weren’t right either. So, we made our way to Republic. I’ve probably been to this place 4 or 5 times but I figured by this point, it was time to add them to my blog. Continue reading →
….When You Poppin! Lol! My 30th birthday is in less than two weeks. Unbelievable. Well to get the festivities started, I teamed up with an amazing photographer by the name of Lawrencia. Her company is called Pewnology. I also teamed up with an amazing make up artist named Courtney. And it was of course styled by me. The shoot was themed around alter-ego which is my birthday theme. Alter-ego is defined as a person’s secondary or alternative personality. In some shape or form we all have it and I figured why not think outside the box and put together something creative for my 30th. The shoot took place in Chinatown area of Washington, DC. This place at night, is magical! I’m just glad you all can’t tell how cold it was out there by these photos. Lol! Feast your eyes on some of my favorite photos. Continue reading →
…You make lemonade. Well the lemonade I got to make was behind a camera lens thanks to a photographer friend I’ve known since high school. I dyed my hair a new color and I also wanted to check out the Renwick Gallery and so here we were making magic in the museum. Lovely exhibit by the way. Afterwards we decided to change the look and use a white background. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the shoot. Continue reading →
So as you all know Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away and the last minute shoppers are probably scrambling as we speak. Don’t know what to get that significant other? I’m here to help a little. I think thoughtful and useful gifts are the best to gifts to get. Valentine’s Day is geared around love and being thoughtful. Remember that while shopping.
I started my evening out with a Hip Hop dance class at the Dance Place in Brookland. Ah-ma-zing is all I have to say. Check it out! After since two foodies/bloggers knew it was Restaurant Week in DC, we had to find somewhere to eat. We decided to check out Pennsylvania 6. This place is a twist on 20th Century ‘London Supper Club’ aesthetic. They even offered to take our coats right before being seated. I loved that. Very nice layout but on to the food. We started out with sparkling water and a signature drink. Continue reading →
