So there are all of these trends out here but a lot of us have issues styling them, so I will be starting a series called, “How to Style?!” where I will create collages of how these items can be styled.
I will also include links of where you can purchase these items.
Most will be items I can find for you at Trunk Club and if sold out, I will have a backup plan for you. 😉
These are considered the pointy toe with the chunky heel. I think this trend will be a classic shoe that you can have for years and years to come. This shoe gives a vintage feel with a modern day twist.
You all probably saw the group Trunk Club DC post of when I went to see Tippi at Trunk Club. I had the chance to create a trunk with Tippi. I started out with creating a profile of what my style is and what brands I tend to shop. They also ask your shoe size, clothing size, and pant size. It’s very detailed so the stylist can be sure to choose the items closest to your size. Tippi then took this information and picked various pieces for me including shoes. I was very pleased with what she chose me. Some were some pieces I might’ve never gone for on my own.
I took my trunk to meet Tippi at the trunk club. The cool thing about this is that you have the option to try everything ok at home and keep what you would like to pu chase and send back hate de didn’t quite work out. Going in is cool because your greeted and asked what you would like to drink during your styling session. Very comfortable environment. Continue reading →
…You make lemonade. Well the lemonade I got to make was behind a camera lens thanks to a photographer friend I’ve known since high school. I dyed my hair a new color and I also wanted to check out the Renwick Gallery and so here we were making magic in the museum. Lovely exhibit by the way. Afterwards we decided to change the look and use a white background. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the shoot. Continue reading →
So as you all know Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away and the last minute shoppers are probably scrambling as we speak. Don’t know what to get that significant other? I’m here to help a little. I think thoughtful and useful gifts are the best to gifts to get. Valentine’s Day is geared around love and being thoughtful. Remember that while shopping.
I decided to put together looks for various Thanksgiving gatherings. Some of us will be meeting up with family and that tends to be more of a casual look which leads me to the right or left outfit being appropriate for that. If you are going to a friendsgiving, you might spruce it up by wearing the look on the left. If you’re going to a Thanksgiving dinner with the new beaux, the middle look could be the perfect option. Just remember to give thanks and wear something that makes you feel good. *wink*
Ever just been inspired by a song you were listening to? This was pretty much me. I started to get into ‘What a Time to Be Alive’ and something about that album got my creative juices going. I decided to add in graphics and a lamp. Going to start trying new things with Polyvore quite often. If you all don’t know, I’m an aspiring stylist and I love everything about clothing and fashion.
I was asked to create a Fall outfit for a Mom-To-Be. I am not a mom but I have worked with a lot of mom’s and they tend to look for comfort in everything. They also like things that are flowly. I did my take on what a mom-to-be would wear in the Fall. All I know is that you do not have to get boring when you become a mom. Still express yourself but in a way that fits your current lifestyle.
